EPSD R-3 Board of Education School Director Search

The EPSD Board of Education took action on a formal resolution to declare a vacancy on the Board, effective immediately. This position will be filled through an appointment process.

March 31, 2026 

Interested persons are invited to send a letter, with a statement of interest and qualifications, and an Affidavit of School Director Candidate For Appointment on Qualifications For Office to Chris Douglas, Secretary to the Board of Education, at 1605 Brodie Ave, Estes Park. The letter and the affidavit must be submitted together.  A confirmation receipt will be issued upon receipt of the letter and affidavit.

May 1, 2026 

The submission deadline is 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026.

May 7, 2026

A Special Meeting will be held on May 7, 2026. During this meeting, the Board of Education plans to conduct interviews and appoint a director for this vacant Board position. This meeting will be public.

To be eligible for appointment, a candidate must reside in the Estes Park School District R-3 and be a registered elector of the school district for at least twelve consecutive months prior to the date of appointment.

The appointee will serve until the next regular school biennial election in November 2027 at which time an election will be held for a successor to fill the remainder of the unexpired term.
