Open Yoga Class
An Open Class is a traditional, slow paced, meditative class that encourages proper breathing, flexibility, strength and vitality in the body while calming the mind. This class includes pranayama (breathing exercises), warm-ups including Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar), 12 basic asanas (postures) and deep relaxation. The focus is on mastering the basic asanas from which variations are then added to further deepen the practice. Erinn obtained her teaching certificate at the Sivandanda Ashram Yoga Ranch in Woodburne, NY. She has extensive instruction experience in a variety of athletic genres and is currently a teacher at Estes Park Elementary School.
A great way to get in shape for the summer! Debbie Holmes, M.S., Co-Owner of MedX of Estes will instruct this well-rounded exercise class, which will focus mostly on strength training; the most important part of any exercise program. Students can expect circuit training, basic weight lifting, cardio-bursts, core and abdominal strengthening, interval 'super-sets', flexibility, and balance techniques. Debbie has been leading exercise programs for over 25 years, including Personal Training and group instruction.
