Answers
1)  Q Is it possible to undelete a voice mail message?
A

Yes - as long as you have NOT disconnected from Audix (voice mail)!

UNDELETING MESSAGES

You can use the undelete feature if you accidentally delete a message that you wanted to save.

  • Press "* * U" to undelete a message.  The system will restore and replay the message.

Note: Once you disconnect from your current session of Audix you can no longer retrieve a deleted message.

2)  Q Is there a way to scan the messages in my voice mail without having to listen to each one?
A

If you are in a hurry and want to check your messages quickly, you don't have to listen to each one.  You can scan your messages.

  • Press "7" from the main activity menu to scan your messages.
  • Press "1" to listen to both the headers and the messages.
  • Press "2" to listen to only the headers.
  • Press "3" to listen to only the messages.
  • Press "#" at any time during the message to save and skip it.
3)  Q What controls are available in voice mail?
A

Your phone pad controls a number of play-back options.

  • Press "0" to listen or replay a message from the beginning without replaying the header.

Note: When you change the speed or volume, Intuity™ AUDIX® will automatically remember these settings.

4)  Q Can I have a greeting just for internal callers and another greeting for external callers?

ADVANCED VOICE MESSAGING COMPONENTS

Since you typically do not talk to parents and others outside the district the same way you talk to employess of Park School District, and since parents need different information than your coworkers, you can create specific greetings for different types of calls.

Step 1 - Administer Call Types

  • From the main menu...
  • Press "3" to administer personal greetings.
  • Press "4" to administer call types.
  • Press "1" for Internal/External.
    • Internal - message played to callers within your company
    • External - message played to callers outside your company
  • Press "2" for Busy/No Answer.
    • Busy - message played to callers when you are on the phone
    • No Answer - message played to callers when you are away from your desk
  • Press "3" for After Hours.
    • After Hours - message played outside of normal business hours (i.e. 5:01 p.m. - 7:59 a.m.)
  • Press "4" for No Out of Hours.
  • Press "5" for Same Greeting for All Calls

You only need to set the call type once. For example, if you set Greeting 1 for external calls, it remains designated to answer external calls until the call type is changed again. If you are not going to change the call type, next time you record Greeting 1, skip Step 1 and proceed to Step 2.

Step 2 - Record a Greeting

  • Press "1" to record a greeting.
  • Enter greeting number (1-9).
  • Press "1" to begin recording.
  • Speak your greeting.
  • Press "#" to approve, or "1" to edit.
  • Repeat these steps for other greetings you wish to record.

Step 3 - Activate the Greeting

  • After recording, follow the Intuity™ AUDIX® prompts to activate your greeting.
  • Press "0" to use the greeting for all calls.
  • Press "1" to use the greeting for internal calls.
  • Press "2" to use the greeting for external calls.
  • Press "#" to record a greeting and save it for later without activating it.
